Chatham Thefts Under Investigation

Police are investigating a pair of break and enters in Chatham.

Authorities say $1,200 worth of items, including an iPod, e-reader, a designer purse, gift cards, and cash were taken after a home on Sheldon Ave. was broken into yesterday.

Officers are also looking into the theft of a chainsaw and bicycle worth $500 from a shed on Stanley Ave. yesterday. An unknown suspect cut a pad lock to gain access.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
