Freezing Rain Concerns Diminished

It appears an ice storm originally forecast for southwestern Ontario won't be nearly as bad as initially thought.

Environment Canada Severe Weather Meteorologist Arnold Ashton says we will still experience freezing rain this morning. "It won't be lasting very long. It's really more of a nuisance event, nothing major at all."

Ashton says temperatures will warm up through the morning, putting an end to the freezing concerns.

A special weather statement issued by the weather agency yesterday that had warned prolonged freezing rain could cause problems for motorists.
