Norwegian Man Faces Racing Charge

For the second time in less than a week, Chatham-Kent OPP has pulled over a vehicle that was going in excess of 180 km/h on the Hwy. 401.

This time, officers are charging a 43-year-old man from Oslo, Norway after an officer pulled over a vehicle near Charing Cross Rd. just after 9:30pm last night.

Police say the officer recorded a westbound Ford car going 187 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

Last Friday, an officer conducting radar enforcement charged a separate driver after recording a vehicle travelling at speeds of up to 186 km/h.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
