Craft Brewer Interested In Expanding

A craft brewing company in Erieau is fully behind a plan to allow small breweries to have a retail outlet and cross sell their products.

Ryan Watson of Bayside Brewing says the proposal being suggested by groups of smaller breweries would make them all a more interesting destination.

"You could come out and have a tour and see how the beer is made and then take home different beer from across Ontario if that law is passed," he says. "We've been with the owners, what could possibly happen, and I think we would absolutely be interested in opening a local store in the Chatham-Kent area outside of Erieau."

Watson says being able to sell other brewers products would give all of them a wider customer base.
