Warriner Excited About Hockeyville

Blenheim native and former NHL player Todd Warriner is excited about the prospects of Chatham-Kent hosting a pre-season NHL game but even more so about repairs to Memorial Arena.

The arena has already qualified for $100,000 in upgrades and Warriner says that's a boost for the area.

"The hundred thousand is going to go a long way to upgrading an arena that I have nothing but fond memories of," he says. "If we are lucky enough to see an NHL game in that arena that would be really special."

The Kraft Hockeyville contest awarded the money for repairs over the weekend, and we will find out this coming Saturday if we were successful in getting the pre-season game.
