Kicking Off Daffodil Month

The Canadian Cancer Society is launching Cancer Awareness Month today in Chatham-Kent.

"It's a huge fundraiser," says Community Fundraising Specialist Krissy Rioux. "But we also really stress the awareness part as well because without the funds, we wouldn't be able to have the programs that we have for research and advocacy as well as the support groups we have."

The Cancer Society raises money by selling daffodil pins at a number of locations throughout the municipality this month.
