A low pressure trough associated with a system in the north will move eastward through southwestern Ontario during the afternoon hours on Thursday. A few thunderstorms are likely along the west of this trough.
While thunderstorms aren't expected to be severe, it could create localized rainfall up to 25 mm in a short period of time.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, from Wildwood Park to Kenwick Park.
