Twice The Posted Speed Limit

Chatham-Kent OPP is laying a racing charge against a Tecumseh woman after recording a vehicle going more than twice the speed limit on the Hwy. 401.

Police say an officer recorded a Mercedes car going approximately 220 km/h on the highway near Harwich Rd. at around 11:30am Tuesday.

The 47-year-old woman driving the vehicle also has her driver's licence suspended and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
