Best Buy Coming To Chatham

Future Shop in Chatham is currently undergoing a transformation as crews work to change the store into a Best Buy location.

In an email to BlackburnNews.com, an official with Best Buy confirms the Chatham Future Shop is one of 65 stores across the country that are being converted rather than closed.

The email states a number of factors were evaluated when officials decided to keep the Chatham location open, including square footage and its proximity to other locations.

All Future Shop products, including gift cards, will be accepted at any Best Buy location and at BestBuy.ca. Existing product orders, service appointments, and warranties will also continue to be honoured.

A sign posted at the store on St. Clair St. in Chatham says it is scheduled to re-open under the Best Buy brand on Saturday, April 4.
