Police Nab Alleged Drunk Driver

Chatham-Kent police were able to stop a driver under the influence after investigating a separate incident.

Police say they were investigating a disturbance on King St. E in Chatham around 8pm on Thursday, when they heard what they thought was a collision. Police followed the sound, finding a man behind the wheel of a pick-up truck in his driveway.

Upon performing breath tests, police found the suspect was more than two times over the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Now, a 55-year-old Chatham man is charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle. He's been released with a future court date.
