Police say sometime Friday night, an unknown suspect entered through the front door of a house on Merritt Ave.

There, the suspect stole a purse containing cash, gift cards, as well as debit and credit cards valued at $800.

Officials are reminding the public to secure all windows and doors in cars and homes, and to not leave valuables in plain sight. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chatham-Kent Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
