Women Helping Other Women

Adult Language and Learning in Chatham is aiming to help vulnerable or disadvantaged women in the area with some essential skills.

Executive Director Tracy Callaghan says the initiative is called "Women Helping Other Women."

"We will teach them some computer literacy, financial literacy, women's health issues, and communication skills," says Callaghan. "We're hoping by developing these valuable skills, these women will face improved employment prospects and social integration."

Callaghan says grant money from the Ontario Trillium Foundation is helping to support the project.
