Firefighters Battle Blaze In Muirkirk

Damage is pegged at around $150,000 after a house fire in Muirkirk.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services says on Sunday around 6pm, firefighters were called to battle the fire at a home located at 15456 McDonald Line.

All occupants inside the home made it out safely and there were no injuries.

Fire officials say the blaze was accidentally caused by deterioration of a wood stove chimney installation.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
