A judge could decide to move the murder trial for those accused of killing Sarnia school teacher Noelle Paquette.
Tanya Bogdanovich, 32, and Michael MacGregor, 20, were arrested in London days after the discovery of the Courtright woman's body in 2013.
Both face charges of first-degree murder.
Over the last two years, all court appearances for the pair have been in Sarnia. The defence has put forward an application to move the trial from the area. A total of four days are set aside for arguments to be made from each side, a decision is expected by the end of the week.
The case is set to go to trial on April 4 of 2016. It is expected to last three to four months.
Paquette, 27, disappeared in the early morning hours of January 1, 2013. She was last seen leaving a New Year's Eve party. Her body was found the next day in a St. Clair Township woodlot.
Police have never released the cause of her death. Both the accused have been linked to fetish and torture web sites.
In 2013, over a dozen Bluewater Health employees were fired for reportedly accessing Bogdanovich and MacGregor's medical records.
