Update: Driver Ejected In 402 Crash

Lambton OPP says a Michigan driver was ejected from his vehicle in a crash Thursday morning on Hwy. 402.

A two vehicle collision around 3:45am caused the closure of the westbound lanes between Mandaumin and Oil Heritage Rd. for 4.5 hours.

Constable Chris Doupe says a 38-year-old man from Flint Michigan operating a compact motor vehicle smashed into a guard rail and then a tractor trailer.

Doupe says the man was taken to hospital and his injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Bureau continues to investigate.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Lambton OPP or Crime Stoppers.

The westbound lanes reopened around 8:30am.
