Overnight Fire In Wallaceburg

A fire in a storage building that damaged a nearby house caused $125,000 in damage in Wallaceburg.

The call to the property on Elizabeth St. came in shortly after 8:30pm Wednesday and firefighters from Chatham were called in to assist the Wallaceburg station.

There are no reports of injuries and the cause is under investigation.

Fire crews were able to save the residential building on the property and say the value of the property saved is $175,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
