UPDATE: Child Hit By Car

A 5-year-old child's condition is improving after being struck by a vehicle in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service says on Saturday around 12:30pm, police and EMS responded to the scene on McNaughton Ave. E.

The 5-year-old was taken to hospital in London to be treated for his injuries. The child's condition has improved, and he will soon move out of the intensive care unit.

Police say no charges are being laid in regards to this incident as it happened on private property.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
