UPDATE: Chatham-Kent's New Police Chief

A familiar face with the Chatham-Kent Police Service is taking over for retiring Police Chief Dennis Poole.

Gary Conn, who currently serves as the deputy police chief, will be stepping into the role.

Conn says the news still hasn't sunk in. "It's so overwhelming and surreal. I'm just going to take a little bit of time, absorb it all, and I think within a day or two, reality will actually set in."

Conn adds one of the advantages of having worked within the police service is he already knows the staff. Poole is set to retire on April 24.
