No Room For Terror Suspect

The Chatham man charged with hoax - terrorist activity will remain in custody for at least another day.

Duty council has been unable to secure a bed for 49-year-old David Osterbrook at Brentwood Recovery Home in Windsor, and aren't prepared to grant him bail otherwise.

Osterbrook will continue to appear in court via video feed until space opens up. His next appearance will be Wednesday, April 15 at 10:30am.

He was arrested over the weekend after the Library of Parliament in Ottawa, received a threatening call about a possible terrorist attack.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
