Upgrades Approved For Bothwell

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is spending $1,151,794 to upgrade Main St. in Bothwell.

The project will span from Chestnut to George streets, and see the road replaced, new curbs installed and new street lights.

East Kent Councillor Dave Van Damme says the upgrades couldn't come at a more perfect time. "In 2017, Bothwell will celebrate its 150th anniversary. So that's one of the big drivers behind this and I see it as a real positive in getting this project out there."

Construction will begin soon, and wrap up by the end of June.
