CK Ward Boundaries Forum

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is holding a community development forum on the topic of its six wards and the councillors who represent them.

The discussion features speaker Andrew Sancton, a political science professor from Western University in London. Another political expert of sorts, former councillor Bill Weaver, will host the talk.

The forum is expected to cover such topics as changing ward boundaries to adjust for population, councillor representation based on population, and council size itself.

Later, during the council portion of the night, Ward 6 Councillor Derek Robertson is set to put forth a motion to have CK's ward system re-evaluated. The motion stipulates this outside study cost no more than $20,000.

Both the community forum and council meeting are open to the public. The forum starts at 6pm Monday.
