Omstead Says Budget Missed Mark

The federal Liberal candidate for Chatham-Kent-Leamington shares her party's opinion that yesterday's federal budget offers the most help for the wealthiest.

But Katie Omstead says she was looking for some specific items for this region that weren't included.

"I think we need a lot of supports for investment in infrastructure, we are lagging in terms of transit, in terms of investment in areas such as Internet so that we can attract investment," she says. "A lot of things were completely left out such as tourism."

Omstead says a plan for jobs and growth was needed and it isn't there.
