Thousands Of Roses Delivered

The Sunrise Rotary Club in Chatham was busy this morning delivering hundreds of dozens of brightly coloured roses for its Roses for Rotary fund raiser .

Committee member Rob Brown says as of late this morning roses were still available but the supply was getting low.

"We ordered 1,600 and so far we sold 1,400 of those," he says. "Last year we sold 1,300 so we've already surpassed last year."

The final 200 dozen were being offered for sale while supplies last at the Portuguese Club on Grand Ave. and in front of Blackburn Radio on Keil Dr.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
