Grow-Op Busted In Lakeshore

Two men face charges and the Ontario Provincial Police has seized up to $75,000 worth of marijuana after busting a grow-op on a farm in Lakeshore near Tilbury.

The Essex County OPP Street Crimes Unit and the West Region Emergency Response Team carried out a search warrant on the property in the 21000-block of County Rd. 46.

They seized some harvested cannabis marijuana, a large number of plants in various stages of growth and equipment used to grow marijuana indoors. Police also seized several items they believe were stolen.

A 49-year-old Lakeshore man faces charges of producing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance while a 43-year-old Chatham man is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
