A single vehicle crash has landed a Chatham man with an impaired driving charge.

Police say a pick-up truck crashed into a culvert around 9:30pm yesterday on Park Ave. E, just west of Eastlawn Dr., and came to rest in the ditch. Officers say the driver tried to walk away from the scene but was located by police a short distance away.

The 32-year-old failed a breath test at police headquarters and was released with a future court date.
