Chatham native Chad Laprise gets into the Octagon in Montreal Saturday night as part of UFC 186.
The 28-year-old is fighting Bryan Barberena and says he's up for the challenge.
"He comes from a great camp down in Arizona," says Laprise. "He's 10-2 with eight knockouts. He's a striker, kind of just like myself, he's big. He's a southpaw, so he's a lefty, which makes things a little more challenging."
Laprise says fighting a lefty means everything is backwards so he's been training and sparring with left-handed fighters to prepare. The fight will air on TSN2 at 8pm.
