UPDATE: Murder Conviction Overturned

The Ontario Court of Appeal has overturned the second degree murder conviction of Windsor resident Donald Dodd in connection with the deaths of Peter Kambas and Vaois Koukousoulas in 2008.

Lawyer Brian Greenspan represented Dodd at the appeal and says there were a number of problems with the Crown's case.

"If you add the elements of how you can put him at the scene together they don't hold together," he says. "Forget any convincing evidence of his presence, most of the evidence speaks to the fact that he's not there."

The other conviction in the case, that of co-accused Timothy Carter, was also appealed. But the conviction was upheld by the court.
