School Repairs And Upgrades

The Lambton Kent District School Board has approved contracts for roof repairs and mechanical upgrades for nine schools including three projects at Chatham-Kent schools.

Mechanical and electrical upgrades at Queen Elizabeth II Public School will be done by Intrepid General at a cost of $958,295 while a mechanical upgrade at Chatham-Kent Secondary School will total $325,500 and be carried out by Dorchester company Aveiro Construction Ltd.

Gregory Drive Public School is in line for a partial roof replacement costing $301,000 and will be carried out by Summit Roofing and Sheet Metal of Blenheim.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
