Fundraising Walks In Chatham

A pair of fundraising walks go today in Chatham.

Walkers in Kingston Park will be raising money for Kids Help Phone.

"This is their largest fundraiser, and it's not a government funded agency," says organizer Kyle Tewkesbury. "These social workers and counsellors are professionals and they're hired by Kids Help Phone, but they need the money from these events to hire those people."

Walkers at Mud Creek Park raised funds for the MS Society. The approximately $47,000 raised will stay in Chatham-Kent to helps those suffering from MS.
