MS Walk Raises $47,000

The 19th annual Chatham-Kent Mandarin MS Walk has raised approximately $47,000.

About 125 walkers, including 15 teams, took part in yesterday's event along Mud Creek Park in Chatham. The $47,000 raised was just short of the $53,000 goal.

Local fundraising co-ordinator Jackie Putterman says the event is their largest source of revenue all year to support their programs and to purchase and repair equipment.

She says the agency provides services for about 120 clients in the area.
