More Turbine Offers For Leamington

Leamington wants to hear from the public before commenting any further on wind turbines.

A rep from energy company EDF EN Canada and a pair of residents spoke to Leamington Council regarding opportunities to host the turbines.

Mayor John Paterson says they've shot down wind projects in the past, but won't turn them down right away. "Members of council felt maybe it's time to revisit this with the local population and see what their opinions are. Especially now that we've been surrounded by wind turbines."

Administration has been asked to come up with a strategy on how to get feedback from residents about the turbines.
