Catholic Board Handling Sex-Ed Curriculum

While the new sex ed curriculum has prompted some parents to pull their children from classrooms, that hasn't been the case for the St Clair Catholic District School Board.

Director of Education Dan Parr says they've received a few phone calls and inquiries, but no parents have removed their children from the classroom.

Parr adds they've made it clear to parents curriculum will be taught with Catholic values in mind. "We've taken several calls and addressed several concerns from parents. We believe that information is out there, and in general, parents are satisfied with our approach."

Reports from the Greater Essex County District School Board and the Thames Valley District School Board in London indicate some parents have taken their children out of classrooms in protest of the new Ontario standards.
