CK Housing Numbers Drop

It looks like Chatham-Kent home sales have come back down to earth after a strong start to the year.

108 units were involved in sales in April. Down 13.6% from a year ago. Through the first four months of 2015, 326 homes have been sold, slightly down by 0.6% from last year's four-month totals.

Overall the average price of homes has gone up. The average in April 2015 was $161,371, a 4.1% increase from last year. The year to date average is also up by 4.9%, standing at $156,423.

As of April 30, there were 652 active residential listings in Chatham-Kent.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
