Police Briefs - Tuesday, May 12, 2015

A Wallaceburg woman suspected of impaired driving with her two children in the vehicle is facing charges.

Chatham-Kent police pulled over the woman on Dufferin Ave. last night after receiving a tip around 11:30pm.

Officers allege they gave her several opportunities to provide a breath sample but she failed to comply.

The 32-year old was charged with failing to provide a breath sample. The children were picked up by family members.

A 29-year-old has been charged for violating his bail conditions.

Police say the man was suppose to stay at a specific address in Dover Township, but was living out of his van in a parking lot on Park Ave. E in Chatham.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
