Speeding Stop Leads To Charges

A 23-year-old man from Windsor will be in a Chatham court facing a number of charges after a traffic stop on Hwy. 401 yesterday.

Provincial police officers report stopping a westbound vehicle near Charing Cross Rd. for speeding and weaving in and out of traffic.

It turned out the driver's licence had been suspended and he didn't have permission to have the car.

He's charged with speeding, failure to drive in a marked lane, driving while under suspension, driving without a licence, failure to comply with a probation order and taking a car without consent.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
