2016 IPM Near Harriston Previewed

The 2016 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo is open for business.

Event chair, Ron Faulkner made that declaration the media reveal yesterday at the site of the event, just outside Harriston in Wellington County.

The 2016 event will be held at the farm of Earl and Anne Schneider, just outside of Harriston.

Over 400 acres has been dedicated to help host the massive festivities which run September 20-24 of next year.

Faulkner says there there will be over 2,200 RV sites, a massive 80 ft by 200 ft entertainment tent, and hundreds of local and international businesses and expos throughout the match.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
