Gearing Up For Retrofest

Antique and collector cars begin arriving in Chatham today as Retrofest kicks off this evening with the classic car cruise.

Publicist with the Downtown Chatham BIA Nancy Labadie is expecting good cars and a lot of people tomorrow as well.

"With the weather holding out we can expect that it'll be packed and the early bird gets the best spot," she says. "They'll be shutting the downtown at around 6am (Saturday), and you'll start to see cars arrive that early and officially it begins at 9am."

The classic car cruise this evening will leave the Bradley convention centre at 6pm, travel along Riverview Dr., cross the Prairie Siding Bridge and then head back into downtown Chatham.
