Newly-instated Chatham-Kent Police Chief Gary Conn says he wants to streamline analytical processes and expand policing technology in his term. Former Chief Dennis Poole officially handed over his badge to Conn during a ceremony Friday afternoon.
Conn adds it's a relief to get the journey underway. "It's overwhelming and surreal. I've had mixed feelings and high anxiety obviously, being nervous. But now that the ceremony is done, the feelings have been alleviated somewhat."
In his first address as chief, Conn thanked his wife and parents, as well as the members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service for their continued efforts.
