Identifying Energy Saving Possibilities

A community energy plan, aimed at making sure Chatham-Kent residents know what conservation programs are available, is taking shape. Spokesperson Linda Borst says officials are gathering information about conservation and product opportunities through a survey available on the municipal website.

"A lot of people see the little coupons for compact florescent light bulbs, but there is a wide range of opportunities for people to save energy on their individual residences," she says. "We're trying to identify where a lot of energy is being used and trying to assist those people with programs that are available for them to save energy."

The survey is available until September. A link to it can be found here.
