Assaults Linked To Stolen Dog

A rude awakening for some Tilbury homeowners has four area men facing a list of charges.

Early this morning, police say the suspect showed up at a home on Queen St. in Tilbury to speak with a man about a dog that was stolen nine months earlier. As the man answered the door, officers say he was forced into a vehicle, driven to a nearby parking lot and assaulted.

The men let him go and then attended a Canal St. home where they forced their way inside and assaulted a man with a beer bottle. The group then made their way back to the Queen St. home, assaulted and threatened four different men and took off before police tracked them down in the area, around 2am.

A 26-year-old Comber man, 28-year-old Tecumseh man, a 28-year-old of no fixed address and a 33-year-old Windsor man were being held pending a bail hearing.
