Cat Fight Ends In Charges

A 35-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges after an incident that started with an argument over a pet cat.

Police say the woman forced her way into an apartment on Grand Ave. E in Chatham yesterday morning, got into an argument with a 17-year-old girl inside, and stole the youth's jacket, shoes and tanning lotion.

Officers arrested the suspect on Grand Ave. W a few hours later and found some methamphetamine on her.

The 35-year-old woman is charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and drug possession.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
