Children's Services Easing Transition

Staff at Chatham-Kent Children's Services are continuously looking to ease the transition as teens move from foster homes to their first apartments.

Donations of essential household needs is one way to make the process as smooth as possible.

Tammy Craeymeerch with children's services says despite getting donations fairly regularly, there are still some items they desperately need. "The majority of kids are getting used pots and pans. New items aren't as freely donated as others. Towels are the other real need that's required right now."

This week, students from Tilbury District High School made a large donation to children's services, facilitated by the United Way of Chatham-Kent.
