Fatal Crash Ends In Charges

The Leamington OPP has laid charges following a fatal crash in April that killed two people.

Police say the vehicle flipped at Hwy. 3 and Morse Rd. April 29, killing 44-year-old Wayne Babcock of Windsor and 57-year-old Leslie Kiss of Lakeshore. Four other people in the van were treated in hospital and released.

A 58-year-old Windsor man is now charged with careless driving and driving while under suspension.

He'll appear in court June 18.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
