Concealed Weapon In Man's Undies

A surprise in a pair of underwear for an officer following the search of a Chatham man.

Chatham-Kent police found a man not far away from a domestic dispute call at a King St. business yesterday.

The 28-year-old eventually turned-over a knife and drugs from his backpack, but became combative and assulted the officer during the arrest. He was eventually pepper sprayed, and a later search turned-up a folding knife in his undies.

He was held pending a bail hearing, with charges that included assaulting a police officer, and carrying a concealed weapon.
