Summer Tradition Kicks Off In Chatham

A summer tradition kicks off its 88th year in Chatham.

It's opening night for the Chatham Concert Band, and Band Master Vaughn Pugh says they'll open with a pop concert that gives a taste of everything they'll perform this summer.

"Cause we're going to have some themed concerts like big bands, so we'll have a big band medley, and there will be a tribute to songwriters like Eric Clapton," says Pugh. "So we've got a medley of his songs, broadway music with Jersey Boys, and A Chorus Line, you name it we've got it."

They'll perform in Tecumseh Park at 7:30pm every Wednesday night free of charge.
