Farm Safety Day

Farm Safety is the hot topic north of Dresden at this year's Progressive Agriculture Safety Day.

The Lambton Federation of Agriculture is hosting the event this Thursday at Dawn-Euphemia Central School, and will cover a number of farm safety issues

"Emergency preparedness, which would be talking about weather watches out, odd tornadoes. So that will help the kids know what to do if something like that comes at us," says Organizer Tracey Cross. "We're having tractor and equipment safety, which we have every year because you can never have that enough with farm safety."

An emphasis will also be put on carbon monoxide this year. Every family that has a child at the event will receive a free carbon monoxide detector.

The event is open to children between the ages of six and 12 and the deadline to register is Tuesday, June 30. For details on how to register, click here.
