Hospice Selects Head Physician

Chatham-Kent Hospice officials have chosen a head physician with a long history in palliative care.

Dr. Robert Mayo comes from the CK Family Health Team, as well as serving on the Palliative Care Consultation Team.

Mayo says the start of the job will involve working on an efficient system of care. "We have to develop guidelines and order sets, as well as look at the quality of the operation we're providing. I'm looking forward to that."

Mayo also co-facilitates the group Learning Essential Approaches To Palliative Care. The Chatham-Kent Hospice opens later this year.
