Elgin County OPP say the 50-year-old hit live electrical wires at a home on Avon Dr. just east of Imperial Rd. in Malahide Township.
Police say he was on an aluminum ladder while he was trimming branches for a friend.
Janusz Danczak was airlifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Foul play isn't suspected by police. An autopsy is expected for tomorrow.
