Upgrades Coming For Police HQ

Visitors to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters should soon notice a difference to its look.

The CK Police Service is set to begin a number of renovations to give the building a more "open" feel.

Chief Gary Conn says they'll be making adjustments to staff sergeant offices upstairs, as well as more public changes. "It's also going to increase the work station up front. We currently have two and it will be increased to four."

Other changes include updating the signage out in front of the building, and adding an accessibility ramp. Construction is set to start in August, and will take place during evenings and weekends.
