UPDATE: Hwy. 401 Reopened In Tilbury

The eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 in Tilbury are now open following a collision that left traffic at a standstill.

The OPP says on Friday around 2:30pm, two transports and a van collided on the highway between County Rd. 42 and the Service Centre.

Two occupants of the van have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.

The lanes reopened to traffic just before 5pm, but many BlackburnNews.com has received reports that traffic remains backed up in the area.
